Celebrating Children Snow Cone Social & Book Giveaway

Event Description
Friday, April 25 from 2:30 - 4PM, the Corning Chamber is participating in Tehama County's "Celebrating Children" with a "Snow Cone Social & Book Giveaway" at the Chamber office, 1110 Solano Street. This event is sponsored by the Tehama County Department of Education and Early Learning Programs & Services and the LPC - Local Child Care Planning Council. Books will be available for children of all ages and also in Spanish. Tour the Corning Museum and choose your book BEFORE you get your sno-cone on your way out! Also, earlier that same day, the City of Corning will be participating in Tehama County's "Childrens' Memorial Flag Raising" at 10AM at the City Hall Flagpole, at the corner of Solano & 3rd Streets, to commemorate a Day of Remembrance to recognize the tragedy of violence against children. The flag-raising event is co-sponsored by the City of Corning, Tehama County Social Services and Tehama County 4 Kids.
