Corning Tuesday Night Market Opening Day!

Date: May 6, 2025 Time: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Event Description Opening Day of the 4th season of the Corning Tuesday Night Market is May 6 from 5 - 8PM, downtown on Solano, between 3rd & 6th Sts. The Market is opening a month late this season due to a bad weather forecast for the original opening night in April. Wind, rain and thunder had been predicted, so we're getting a bit later start this time. This collaboration between the City of Corning and the Corning Chamber of Commerce has been a resounding success, and we're looking forward to having the community join us for more good food, a great variety of unique handmade items, popular direct sales goods, music, performance, kid's activities and helpful information from many community service groups on their programs. There will once again be live music by the Irish Cement Band sponsored by the City of Corning, and inside the Rodgers Theatre will be the Corning Rotary's Beer & Wine Garden and the CUHS Fine Art Show. This Market's theme is Cinco de Mayo, (albeit a day late), with Corning Recreation's Ballet Folklorico dance class performing at 6PM, and a holiday "make it 'n take it" craft offered by the Corning Senior Center.  There's always an exciting Kids' Zone featuring a bounce house sponsored by the City of Corning and staffed by the folks from New Life. Several downtown businesses will be staying open late during the Market, as well. Cairo's Florist/The Copy Shop with Cheri & Dane Barbo, Chata's Brunchies, Daisy's Ice Cream, Favela's Beauty Salon, Jersey Girls and Sweet Swirls Bakery. The other Market dates this season are June 3, Sept 2 and October 7 with the Annual Bed Races.  New vendors welcome! However, there is a 10-day advance registration deadline, so the next one is Friday, May 23rd for the June Market. There is no booth fee, however, there is a new refundable deposit system based on your vendor category. All vendors need to have their CA Seller's Permit, and any other licenses applicable to their products. Food Vendors need to obtain a Temporary Mobile Permit from Tehama County Environmental Health and have Liability Insurance. If you have any questions, please call the Corning Chamber: 530-824-5550.
