Event Description Safely dispose of your unused, unwanted, and expired medications by dropping them off at one of three local collection sites between the hours of 10 am - 2 pm: the Tehama County Sheriff's Office, the Red Bluff Community Center, and the Corning Police Department. Disposal is free and anonymous with no questions asked. Coordinated by the DEA in conjunction with local law enforcement, Take Back Day is part of a national effort to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths. Studies show that a majority of abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet. Permanent Medication Disposal Kiosks are available throughout the year at the Tehama County Sheriff's Department and the Corning Police Department.
