May 10    Understanding Payroll Taxes, Records & Functions in QuickBooks
This workshop will include State & Federal laws, and regulations regarding business payroll function, and the necessary record keeping needed to comply with these requirements. Examples of processing payroll functions will be demonstrated using QuickBooks, including discussion of e-filing both payroll taxes and forms right out of QuickBooks. A QuickBooks ?how to? payroll manual & handout on the payroll function will be distributed. The trainer is a CPA and QuickBooks ProAdvisor with payroll expertise.

May 14    Shasta Mud Run
The 4th Annual Shasta Mud Run at the McConnell Foundation's Ross Ranch offers an extra muddy 5K challenge course for all ages and skill levels and a 10K with wicked obstacles for those serious athletes. Spectators will enjoy local vendors, music, tasty food, and thirst quenching beverages. Children 10 and under will have a blast in the FREE Mini Muddies Mud Pit Play Area. Did someone say, "out of the world raffle prizes"??? There is something for everyone. VIP After Party on site featuring Woody's Brewing Company at the grill and live music by Cold Sweat that will rock your socks off! The Shasta Mud Run is an essential fundraiser for the Youth Violence Prevention Council and its programs.
