The Corning Farmer's Market is always on Thursday Evenings from 5 till 7:30pm, and is held at the North Side Park, located at 1414 Colusa Street, next to the City Pool. It's a great opportunity for local growers and merchants to advertise and sell their products in a local, community-based environment. Jul 7 - Jul 28    QuickBooks I, II, III, & IV Series (Intro to Using Advanced Features)
This 4-part QuickBooks series begins with how QBs works, getting around, learning common accounting terms used by QBs, creating a new company file, setting preferences, entering new customer, vendors accounts, & items, backing up your data and basic accounting, & reviewing the basic Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow reports. You will learn about working with bank accounts (including how to handle PayPal & Square), reconciling accounts, using other account types (credit cards, loans & fixed assets), entering sales information, receiving payments & making deposits, generating customer statements, entering & paying bills, downloading bank and credit card activity, issuing 1099s, and memorizing transactions. The later series covers, running related financial reports, analyzing financial data, setting up inventory, tracking & paying sales tax, tracking time, customizing forms/letters and overview of more advanced features (syncing contacts, sharing your file electronically with your accountant, exporting to Excel, using the Doc Center, entering budgets, & technical suggestions when you have problems). The trainer is a CPA and QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Training includes manual.

Jul 23    Second Annual Summer Mountain Music & Arts Festival
Second Annual Summer Mountain Music & Arts Festival The California State Old Time Fiddlers Association is holding the Second Annual SUMMER MOUNTAIN MUSIC and ARTS FESTIVAL at the beautiful Cedar Crest Vineyards in Manton, California on Saturday, July 23rd, from 11:00 AM to 8 PM. Gates open at 10:00 AM. The lineup for this year?s festival includes, One Button Suit, The Buckhorn Mountain Stompers, Reckoning (DeadGrass), The Old Kennett String Band, and other Bluegrass Bands and musicians that will be performing Americana music on two stages throughout the day. Come and enjoy a live art project as a local artist creates a sculpture during the festivities. Local vendors will be onsite offering food and crafts along with Cedar Crest Vineyard?s award winning wines and craft beers. Beautiful Cedar Crest Vineyards is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the Summer Mountain Music and Arts Festival.
