"Forgery Art Exhibit."Gallery members of the Red Bluff Art Association and Tehama County Photo Club have lent their brushes and cameras to recreate works by master artists and photographers, or render their works in the style of their famous favorites. The Exhibit runs Aug. 10-Sept. 2. Gallery hours are 1-7, Thurs., Fri., Sat.. Sponsored by the Tehama County Arts Council.

Sep 7 - Oct 7    The Main Event Gallery Exhibit
"Plein Air" Exhibit, Sept. 7- Oct. 7, at the Main Event Gallery, 710 Main Street, Red Bluff. Featuring Redding artist, Chuck Prudhomme's impressionistic-style paintings in addition to art and photography by Gallery members. Prudhomme particularly enjoys Plein Air painting, i.e. painting outdoors, because it allows him to spend some time in dramatic natural surroundings or locations. He says, "I am interested in capturing the feel of a place and the story hidden within. I enjoy the tactile vibrancy of thick colorful paint applied in a quick, intuitive way, rather than a photorealistic image." Gallery hours, 1-7 p.m., Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays. Sep 14    College Quest
The 18th annual College Quest event, a college information night, will take place on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Simpson University from 5:00 to 7:30 pm in the James M. Grant Student Life Center (the gymnasium). This FREE community event is open to everyone and is designed so that north state students and their families can explore higher education opportunities. Representatives from colleges and universities from across the western US (e.g. UCLA, Washington State, USC, CSU Chico, etc.) will be on site to showcase the unique features of their institutions. Regional community colleges will be part of the event as well. Additionally, local high school and community representatives will be on hand to assist families in planning for college, including where to find scholarships to help with college costs. Power 94 will be broadcasting live from the event and Dutch Bros will have their mobile truck on site offering their signature coffee beverages for purchase. There will also be financial aid workshops presented by College OPTIONS staff at 5:30 pm and 6:45 pm. This is a great way for students and parents to get a taste of many different colleges and universities without having to leave Redding. Be sure to mark your calendars for this college fair starting at 5 pm on September 14.

Come help us celebrate and support those in our community who are recovering from mental and substance abuse disorders. This outdoor event will include a free BBQ, speakers, live music, kids' activities, booths, and raffles. All are welcome! California Uniform Retail Food Facility Law requires re-certification of competence in Food Safety and Sanitation every 5 years. Passing the ServSafe® exam is necessary to renew your certification. Training includes the National Restaurant Association ServSafe® exam and Essentials book, answer sheet & certificate. The workshop is recognized by the by the California Health Department & fulfills State Certification obligations. Learn the importance of food safety practices and how to implement them in your food establishment. Our trainer is a State certified. Participants must register and purchase books 3 weeks prior to class to allow for book delivery and self-study. Limited Seating!
