You are invited to attend the 16th annual ArtWalk next Friday and Saturday, November 2 and 3, sponsored by the Tehama County Arts Council in conjunction with the Downtown Businesses' Holiday Open House. More than 25 downtown venues will host over 100 visual and performing artists with a reception Friday evening, 5-9 pm. Meet the artists while enjoying a relaxed atmosphere of art, wine, food, music and holiday shopping. Saturday exhibits will be open 10 am ? 3 pm, and the Community Art Studio will offer free children's art activities.

Nov 2 - Dec 29    Main Event Gallery Exhibit, ArtWalk
The Main Event Gallery, 710 Main Street, will feature art by members of the Tehama County Arts Council, Red Bluff Art Association and Tehama County Photo Club for the 16th Annual ArtWalk, sponsored by the Tehama County Arts Council. Meet the artists Friday evening, Nov. 2, 5-9 pm, while enjoying a relaxed atmosphere of art, wine, food, music and holiday shopping. Saturday the Gallery will be open 10 am – 3 pm, and the Community Art Studio downstairs will offer free children's art activities. The exhibit will remain in place through December 29th.

Nov 6 - Nov 27    QuickBooks I, II, III & IV Series - 4 Weeks Series
This 4-part QuickBooks (QB) series begins with how QB works, getting around, learning common accounting terms used by QB, creating a new company file, setting preferences, entering new customer, vendors accounts, & items, backing up your data and basic accounting, & reviewing the basic Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow reports. You will learn about working with bank accounts (including how to handle PayPal & Square), reconciling accounts, using other account types (credit cards, loans & fixed assets), entering sales information, receiving payments & making deposits, generating customer statements, entering & paying bills, downloading bank and credit card activity, issuing 1099s, and memorizing transactions. The later series covers, running related financial reports, analyzing financial data, setting up inventory, tracking & paying sales tax, tracking time, customizing forms/letters and overview of more advanced features (syncing contacts, sharing your file electronically with your accountant, exporting to Excel, using the Doc Center, entering budgets, & technical suggestions when you have problems). The trainer is a CPA and QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Training includes manual.

This is a 4-weeks series designed to teach you how to utilize your financial statements to better manage & understand your business operations, cash flow and profitability. The Series include: interpreting financial statements; Identifying your cash flow cycle & how it impacts your business; Learning how to calculate & use financial ratios to troubleshoot fiscal dangers & improve performance; How to think critically when looking at pricing & costs; and Developing forecast & budget techniques to improve profits. Nov 8    ServSafe Food Safety Training & Certification
California Uniform Retail Food Facility Law requires re-certification of competence in Food Safety and Sanitation every 5 years. Passing the ServSafe® exam is necessary to renew your certification. Training includes the National Restaurant Association ServSafe® exam and Essentials book, answer sheet & certificate. The workshop is recognized by the by the California Health Department & fulfills State Certification obligations. Learn the importance of food safety practices and how to implement them in your food establishment. Our trainer is a State certified. Participants must register and purchase books 3 weeks prior to class to allow for book delivery and self-study. Limited Seating!

The Cottonwood Community Library empties out the overflow of duplicated and donated books once each quarter and makes those good books available to the public. Some books are old-time favorites that will bring back fond memories, and some books are the latest best sellers that are duplicated in the library. The entire meeting room of the Cottonwood Community Library will be filled to overflowing with all types of books for all types of readers. Hardcover books, paperbacks, children’s books, DVD’s, and books on tape or CD will be for sale. The book sale will be held on Friday, Nov. 30 and on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 from 11:00am – 2:00pm both days. The Cottonwood Community Library is located at 3427 Main Street. Prices start at 25¢, so come early for the best selections. All proceeds benefit the Cottonwood Community Library. For more information, please call the Library at 347-4818.
