Jun 7 - Jul 7    Visions: Impressions and Expressions
Exhibit: June 7- July 7: Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays 11 am – 5 pm Opening Reception: Friday, June 8, 5 -8 pm Art Demonstration by Jeff Fennel: Saturday, June 9, 1 pm The Main Event Gallery will feature Artists, Steve Ferchaud and Jeff Fennel. Accompanying their works will be art and photography by Gallery members. Meet the artists at the Main Event Gallery's reception, Friday, June 8, 5-8 pm, 710 Main Street, Red Bluff. Steve Ferchaud has been creating illustrations for several different projects, Including magazine and newspaper illustrations, book and magazine covers, and artwork for various labels and t-shirts. Known for his whimsical art, Ferchaud has illustrated over thirty-five books, including the Benjamin Franklin Award winning book, "The Carpenter’s Legacy." He also received The Golden Quill Award for best illustrations for, "The Man Who Spoke to Cats," and NCPA Award for best illustrations for, " Joshua and Bigfoot." He is currently writing and illustrating his book, "Gnome Poems." Jeff Fennel is an award winning illustrator and dedicated landscape painter exhibiting throughout California galleries and invitational painting events. A graduate of CSU Chico with a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration, and a background in Architecture, Jeff has worked with a variety of media, techniques and disciplines. He lends a new dimension to his art by creating some of his pieces on sheets of aluminum steel. Fennel has experience in the video game industry as a production artist, designer and Art Director. Jeff will give an art demonstration, Saturday, June 9, 1 pm at the Main Event Gallery. The Exhibit is sponsored by the Tehama County Arts Council. www.tehamaarts.org

The Saturday Farmers’ Markets are scheduled to begin on Saturday, June 2nd, 8:00 AM -12:30 PM at the Red Bluff City River Park “Market on the River” and runs through September 29th.

The Wednesday Farmers' Market Downtown” will take place on Washington Street (in front of the old Tehama County Courthouse) and a portion of Pine Street (between Jefferson & Main Streets), 5 - 8 PM beginning on June 6th through August 29th.

Exhibit: July 7 – July 28, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, 11 am – 5 pm Afternoon Presentation by Steve Ferchaud: Saturday, July 14, 2 pm Artist Steve Ferchaud, illustrator of more than 35 books will give a presentation at the Main Event Gallery, 710 Main Street, Red Bluff, Saturday, July 14, 2 p.m. Ferchaud, known for his whimsical illustrations, will introduce you to his world of fantasy, sharing the process of how he creates his characters and artwork. He has always drawn and would hand in class assignments with drawings in the margins. Steve encourages those who have a story to tell to write it down and will offer tips on publishing. The presentation is free and open to the public. Ferchaud's book illustrations have won many awards, also creating illustrations for magazines and newspapers, book and magazine covers and artwork for labels and t-shirts. Steve says, "I am one of a smaller group of artists drawing and painting illustrations. Much of the work of illustrating is now being created on computers." Steve Ferchaud and Jeff Fennel are currently the featured artists at the Main Event Gallery as part of the "Visions: Impressions & Expressions" Exhibit. Fennel is an award-winning graphic designer and traditional artist. He is noted for his plein air landscape oil paintings and abstract art designs on sheets of aluminum. Passionate about teaching and the visual arts, Jeff is an art instructor at Butte College. View the works of these two outstanding artists as their exhibit is being extended through July 28th.
